August 2009 Clinics & Programs Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department WOMEN’S CANCER SCREENING — Monday, August 27 from 2:30-5:30pm.Includes cervical and breast cancer screening.Appointments are necessary, call 234-3682. IMMUNIZATION CLINICS — Wednesdays, August 5, 12, 19, 26 from 9:00-11:00am and 1:00-3:00pm.All regular childhood immunizations.Appointments not necessary. FAMILY PLANNING CLINIC — Tuesdays, August 4, 11, 18, 25.Consists of a complete gynecological exam including pap smear, pelvic exam, and breast exam.Several contraceptive methods available.Appointments are necessary, call 234-3682. PREGNANCY TESTING — Fridays, August 7, 14, 21, 28.Testing is at 9:00am and 2:00pm.Appointments are not necessary. STD and HIV TESTING — Confidential testing on a regular basis.Call for an appointment 234-3682. BLOOD pressure screenings — Mondays, August 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 from 9:00am-4:00pm.Walk-ins are welcomed, appointments are not necessary. FOOD HANDLERS — Monday, August 17 at 10:30am; Tuesday, August 18 at 7:30pm; Thursday, August 20 at 10:30am.This class is for those working with foods. Registration and a $10.00 fee must be paid prior to the day of the class.Call 234-3682 for more information. Tuberculosis Diagnostic Clinic — August 3, 2009.The TB Clinic provides x-rays for the evaluation of active disease and latent TB infection (LTBI). Clinicians are provided for chest diagnostic clinics to evaluate/treat active disease and LTBI. Medications are also available for TB cases and LTBI patients.Call 234-3682 for more information.
