WOMEN’S CANCER SCREENINGMonday, December 14 from 2:30-5:30pm.  Includes cervical and breast cancer screening.Appointments are necessary, call 234-3682.

IMMUNIZATION CLINICSWednesdays, December 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 from 9:00-11:00am and 1:00-3:00pm.  All regular childhood immunizations.Appointments not necessary.

FAMILY PLANNING CLINICTuesdays, December 1, 8, 15, 22.  Consists of a complete gynecological exam including pap smear, pelvic exam, and breast exam.  Several contraceptive methods available.Appointments are necessary, call 234-3682.

PREGNANCY TESTINGFridays, December 4, 11, 18.Testing is at 9:00am and 2:00pm.  Appointments are not necessary.

STD and HIV TESTING — Confidential testing on a regular basis.  Call for an appointment 234-3682.

BLOOD pressure screeningsMondays, December 7, 14, 21, 28 from 9:00am-4:00pm.  Walk-ins are welcomed, appointments are not necessary.

FOOD HANDLERS Tuesday, December 15 at 7:30pm; Thursday, December 17 at 10:30am.  This class is for those working with foods. Registration and a $10.00 fee must be paid prior to the day of the class.  Call 234-3682 for more information.

SEASONAL FLU VACCINATION CLINICSEvery Monday & Thursday (no clinic on 24 & 31).  At this time, seasonal flu shots are being offered to all Ohio County residents (child/youth flu shots may require a separate appointment).  Appointments are necessary, call 234-3682 for more information.

H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccination Clinics

2ND DOSE H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccination Clinics
Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department will hold 2nd dose H1N1 flu shot clinics from 4:30-7:30pm at the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department.

  • December 1st Participants of theH1N1 “Children’s Special Health Needs” clinic.
  • December 2nd Participants of the H1N1 “Children 3 to 4 of age” clinic.
  • December 3rd Participants of the Wheeling Middle School, Bethlehem, Madison and Ritchie Elementary Schools clinic
  • December 4th Participants of the Bridge Street Middle School, Elm Grove and Middle Creek Elementary Schools clinic
  • December 8th Participants of the Warwood Middle School, Corpus Christi, Warwood and West Liberty Elementary Schools clinic

Clinic is for school students only.Nasal and injectable vaccine will be used during the clinic.A parent or legal guardian must attend clinic.Please bring your vaccination card to the clinic.For more information check www.ohiocountyhealth.com. The immunizations are only available for those in that age group. Parents, grandparents, brother, sisters, and adults of any age are NOT eligible for vaccine at this time, regardless of medical condition.Immunization for other priority groups and the general population will be available for everyone after the target populations have been immunized.

WHEELING JESUIT UNIVERSITY H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccination Clinic
Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department will hold an H1N1 flu shot clinic for students of Wheeling Jesuit University.

  • Time:9am-2pm

Clinic is for students of WJU only.Nasal and injectable forms of H1N1 vaccine will be available during the clinic.A parent or legal guardian must attend is under 18 years of age.For more information check www.ohiocountyhealth.com.

WEST VIRGINIA NORTHERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccination Clinic
Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department will hold an H1N1 flu shot clinic for students of West Virginia Northern Community College.

  • Time:9am-2pm

Clinic is for students of WVNCC only.Nasal and injectable forms of H1N1 vaccine will be available during the clinic.A parent or legal guardian must attend is under 18 years of age.For more information check www.ohiocountyhealth.com.  

CAREGIVERS & CHRONIC CONDITION H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccination Clinic

  • Date:Thursday, December 3 & 10, 2009
  • Location:Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department
  • Time:9-11am and 1-3pm

Vaccination clinics is for people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age and people ages 25 through 64 who are at high risk of contracting H1N1 because of chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems.Clinics will begin on Monday, November 16, 2009.Participants will need to make an appointment and vaccine and supplies maybe limited.These H1N1 vaccinations are for these two target populations only. Both nasal and injectable forms of H1N1 vaccine will be available during the clinic.

Wheeling CITY & Ohio COUNTY EMPLOYEES H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccination Clinic

  • Date:Friday, December 11, 2009
  • Location:Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department
  • Time:9-11am and 1-3pm

Vaccination clinic is for employees of the City of Wheeling or Ohio County.Participants will need to make an appointment and vaccine and supplies maybe limited.These H1N1 vaccinations are for these two target populations only. Both nasal and injectable forms of H1N1 vaccine will be available during the clinic.

GENERAL PUBLIC H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccination Clinics

  • Date:Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, beginning December 14th.
  • Location:Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department
  • Time:9-11am and 1-3pm

Clinics will begin December 14, 2009.These vaccination clinics are for individuals who wish to be vaccinated against the H1N1 virus.Participants will need to make an appointment and vaccine and supplies maybe limited.Both nasal and injectable forms of H1N1 vaccine will be available during the clinic.

LAW ENFORCEMENT H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccination Clinic

  • Time:9-11am and 1-3pm

Vaccination clinic is for law enforcement personnel.Participants will need to make an appointment and vaccine and supplies maybe limited.This H1N1 vaccination is for this target population only.Both nasal and injectable forms of H1N1 vaccine will be available during the clinic.

TEACHERS & SCHOOL STAFF H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccination Clinic

  • Location:Wheeling Park High School
  • Time:10:00am — 2:00pm

Vaccination clinic is for teachers and school personnel.This vaccination clinic will be held at WPHS and vaccine and supplies maybe limited.This H1N1 vaccination is for this target population only.Both nasal and injectable forms of H1N1 vaccine will be available during the clinic.

  • Hancock County WIC Program is located at 3045 Pennsylvania Avenue-Suite 1 in Weirton, WV.Phone number is (304) 723-3153 and clinic days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm.Nutrition Education is held on Tuesdays from 8:30am 4:30pm.

    Brooke County WIC Program is located at 500 River Road-Building 2 in Beech Bottom, WV.Phone number is (304) 394-5090 and clinic days are Monday and Tuesdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Nutrition Education is held on Wednesdays from 8:30am 4:30pm.

    Ohio County WIC Program is located at 45 18th Street in Wheeling, WV.Phone number is (304) 234-3888 and clinic days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 8:30am to 6:30pm.Nutrition Education is held on Fridays from 8:30am 4:30pm.

    Marshall County WIC Program is located at 500 Tele Tech Drive in Moundsville, WV.Phone number is (304) 845-7426 and clinic days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30am to 4:30pm.Nutrition Education is held daily.

    Wetzel/Tyler County WIC Program is located at 425 South Fourth Avenue #B in Paden City, WV.Phone number is (304) 337-2011 and clinic days are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm.Nutrition Education is held Monday thru Thursday.
