WOMEN’S CANCER SCREENINGThursday, February 25 from 2:30-5:30pm.  Includes cervical and breast cancer screening.  Appointments are necessary, call (304) 234-3682. 

IMMUNIZATION CLINICSWednesdays, February 3, 10, 17, 24 from 9:00-11:00am and 1:00-3:00pm.  All regular childhood immunizations.  Appointments not necessary. 

FAMILY PLANNING CLINICTuesdays, February 2, 9, 16, 23.  Consists of a complete gynecological exam including pap smear, pelvic exam, and breast exam.  Several contraceptive methods available.  Appointments are necessary, call (304) 234-3682.

PREGNANCY TESTINGFridays, February 5, 12, 19, 26.  Testing is at 9:00am and 2:00pm.  Appointments are not necessary.

STD and HIV TESTING — Confidential testing on a regular basis.  Call for an appointment (304) 234-3682.

BLOOD pressure screeningsMondays, February 1, 8, 22 from 9:00am-4:00pm.  Walk-ins are welcomed, appointments are not necessary.

FOOD HANDLERS Tuesday, February 16 at 7:30pm; Thursday, February 18 at 10:30am.  This class is for those working with foods. Registration and a $10.00 fee must be paid prior to the day of the class.  Call (304) 234-3682 for more information.

PERSON IN CHARGE (PIC) TRAINING Monday, February 22, time TBA.  PIC training is for designed person in charge, managers, owners and operators of restaurants and other facilities in Ohio County.  Call (304) 234-3682 for more information.

SEASONAL FLU VACCINATION CLINICSEvery Monday & Thursday from 9-11am and 1-3pm (no clinic on 15th).  At this time, seasonal flu shots are being offered to all Ohio County residents (child/youth flu shots may require a separate appointment).  Appointments are necessary, call (304) 234-3682 for more information. 

GENERAL PUBLIC H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccination Clinics Every Wednesday from 9-11am and 1-3pm.  These vaccination clinics are for individuals who wish to be vaccinated against the H1N1 virus.  Participants will need to make an appointment and vaccine and supplies maybe limited.  Both nasal and injectable forms of H1N1 vaccine will be available during the clinic. 

TUBERCULOSIS DIAGNOSTIC CLINICMay 3, 2010.  The TB Clinic provides x-rays for the evaluation of active disease and latent TB infection (LTBI).  Clinicians are provided for chest diagnostic clinics to evaluate/treat active disease and LTBI.  Medications are also available for TB cases and LTBI patients.  Call (304) 234-3682 for more information. 

WIC SERVICES — The Women, Infants & Children Program (WIC) offers families personalized nutrition consultations, vouchers for free healthy food, tips for eating well to improve health, and referrals for medical and dental care, health insurance, child care, and other services that can benefit the whole family.  WIC helps you save on groceries so you have more to spend on other things your family needs.  For more information and to set up an appointment, contact the WIC clinic in your county:

  • Hancock County WIC Program is located at 3045 Pennsylvania Avenue-Suite 1 in Weirton, WV.  Phone number is (304) 723-3153 and clinic days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm.  Nutrition Education is held on Tuesdays from 8:30am 4:30pm.
  • Brooke County WIC Program is located at 500 River Road-Building 2 in Beech Bottom, WV.  Phone number is (304) 394-5090 and clinic days are Monday and Tuesdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Nutrition Education is held on Wednesdays from 8:30am 4:30pm.
  • Ohio County WIC Program is located at 45 18th Street in Wheeling, WV.  Phone number is (304) 234-3888 and clinic days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 8:30am to 6:30pm.  Nutrition Education is held on Fridays from 8:30am 4:30pm.
  • Marshall County WIC Program is located at 500 Tele Tech Drive in Moundsville, WV.  Phone number is (304) 845-7426 and clinic days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30am to 4:30pm.  Nutrition Education is held daily.
  • Wetzel/Tyler County WIC Program is located at 425 South Fourth Avenue #B in Paden City, WV.  Phone number is (304) 337-2011 and clinic days are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm.  Nutrition Education is held Monday thru Thursday.
