Health Department Permit Renewal Applications

The Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department will be sending out health permit renewal applications this month. The renewal applications are for calendar year and fiscal year health department permitted facilities. These include:

July 1 – June 30 Permits

Bed and Breakfast
Care Facilities
Schools
Organized Camps
Campgrounds
Hotel/Motel
Food Services
- Food Service Establishments
- Mobile Food Units
- Retail Food Stores
- Mobile Retail Food Units
- Vending Machines
Body Piercing Studios

Yearly Renewal Permits

Tattoo studios
Sewage Cleaning Trucks

January 1 – December 31 Permits

Child Care Centers
Recreational Water Facilities
Mobile Home Parks

The renewal applications are for the current permit a business possess or should possess. Due to the department’s COVID-19 vaccination and testing response those permits that were due January 1, 2021 will not have a late fee.

Permits for Temporary Food Service Establishments and TCS food vending/food service operations at local Farmers Markets are issued as requested or upon application and inspection.
