New Vaccine Added to COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics – WOCHD

Starting June 23, 2022 the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department will offer two new COVID-19 Vaccines for young children (6 months through 5 years of age):

  • Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in individuals 6 months through 4 years of age (3-dose primary series)
  • Moderna COVID-19 vaccine in individuals 6 months through 5 years of age (2-dose primary series)

The WOCHD has both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines available for young children and will begin providing them to the Ohio Valley starting Thursday, June 23. Vaccines for this age group are also available at many local pediatric clinics. Please reach out to those offices for information on their vaccine availability.

COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are available at the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department, located at 1500 Chapline Street, Wheeling, WV (City/County Building), Monday thru Friday from 9:00-11:00am and 1:00-3:00pm.  No appointments are necessary and walk-in clients are accepted. The COVID-19 vaccines are free of charge.

COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics

WOCHD COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics (subject to change due to supply and demand). Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccines are available.   All vaccinations for primary and booster series are available.  Walk-ins welcomed no appointments necessary.

Daily Health Department Clinics COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics

All COVID vaccinations will be given at the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department (1500 Chapline Street, Wheeling) from 9-11am & 1-3pm, Monday thru Friday.

Homebound COVID-19 Vaccination Program

Individuals who are homebound can call the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department to schedule a home COVID-19 vaccination visit. Ohio County residents can call (304) 234-3682 to set up an appointment and vaccination type.
