WHEELING, WV – The Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department will host the annual Northern Panhandle Regional Public Health Conference-2026 on June 4, 2026, at the Wilson Lodge, Oglebay Resort and Conference Center. This year’s conference is sponsored by the Wheeling-Ohio County Health Department.
The annual Public Health conference will feature speakers and topics on:
- Nursing: The New Public Health
- Overdose Prevention: Syringe exchange utilization in Cabell County, WV
- Zoonotic Disease Program
- Measles Outbreak and Case Preparedness
- Threat Preparedness and Response: 2025 Flood in Ohio County
- HS Cloud Interatice Discussion – Environmental Health

The conference is open to the public and free of charge. Registration starts at 8:00am and the conference will conclude at 4:30pm. The annual Public Health conference has been approved for 6.0 continuing Education Credit Hours for nurses (RN Provider # WV2005-0481RN).
The conference targets Nurses, Physicians, Medical Residents and Medical Students, Public Health Sanitarians/Environmental Health Specialists, Public Health Officers and Medical Directors, Public Health Administrators and Staff of Health Departments in the Tri State area. All other Medical Professionals or anyone interested in current Public Health Informaion is welcomed.
